Celebrate Nature Photography Day on Florida’s Adventure Coast, Brooksville-Weeki Wachee, by exploring #Chassahowitzka Wildlife Management Area! We’ll meet at the entrance of Chassahowitzka WMA (located just north of Centralia Road on US-19 in Weeki Wachee) before going over a brief history of the area, then embarking on a drive through the WMA including curated stops to take photos. This is a caravan style drive with the event host leading the way and participants being responsible for their own transportation along lime rock roads. Register at MyFWC.com/Chinsegut
What is Nature Photography Day?
Each year, June 15 is designated by the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA) to promote the enjoyment of nature photography, and to explain how images are used to advance the cause of conservation and protect plants, wildlife, and landscapes both locally and globally. NANPA encourages people everywhere to enjoy the day by using a camera to explore the natural world. The event will take place on June 15, 2021, from 8 AM – 10 AM.
